One of the major controversies last week is when the Washington Nationals supported the Navy Veterans that died by wearing Navy hats. The players got to wear the hats during warm up, the National Anthem, and even in between their double header, but never got to wear them during the game. Many believe they should have gotten to wear them during the game, and I completely agree. However, the Major League Baseball rules state otherwise.
I agree, I think the MLB is too strict on things like this. It is something to support our fallen heroes. The jerseys still have the Nationals logo on it, so I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to wear those hats for a special occasion.
